Mike co-founded Float House in Vancouver with his brother Andy. Their company sells time in sensory deprivation tanks aimed at re-focusing our minds and relaxing the body. We talk about the benefits of this practice, as well as the comparison and combination with psychedelic drugs.
Mike and Andy also host their own podcast called Vancouver Real.
We talk about many subjects related to these isolation tanks, from physical ailments such as fibromyalgia and anxiety disorders being potentially treated through the use of these tanks, to Mike's experiences using different psychedelic substances while floating.
I also inquire about the difficulty of building a tank at home, and we get into thoughts on consciousness and the mind, spirituality, and more.

For 14 years Neil infiltrated drug gangs in the UK as an undercover operative. He spent 23 years total in the UK police force. He is now the chair for LEAP UK, which stands for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition.
We talk about his many experiences posing as a drug addict and taking down drug dealers, and why he's switched sides in this drug war. Neil is open about how difficult it was to come to terms with how little good he actually did for his communities by going after these drug kingpins. He is also open about how coming to this realization contributed to his PTSD.
Drug addiction is quite clearly a medical and social issue, not a criminal one. We discuss why police should be free to focus on other things, and that by keeping drugs illegal we are actually perpetuating violence, theft, and intimidation in our communities.
We also touch on marijuana and the potential for some other psychedelic type of substances to be used for people's benefit, as well as political corruption, fear, and speaking out publicly.
There is an overwhelming amount of proof as to why this drug war is a losing battle, but it may take many more people like Neil speaking up before things change. Find him and others like him at LEAP UK: http://ukleap.org

Kilindi joins me once again to talk about his continued use of high doses of psilocybin mushrooms. We discuss some of the comments people had after our first podcast together, and cover lots of new territory.
Kilindi talks also about his experiences in isolation tanks, yoga, and fasting for 40 days at a time. He expresses how, in his view, these other disciplines just don't truly compare to high dose experiences with psychedelics, especially mushrooms. It was another fascinating conversation, ending with the vision of taking ourselves to a new stage of evolution.

James has done much work in the name of psychedelics, and more specifically mushrooms. He's written multiple books, and speaks at conferences around the world. He also hosts a podcast called ATTMind Radio where he speaks with people about these subjects as well.
In this conversation James and I discuss how he was able to pull through a time in his life when he was abusing drugs very heavily. While living in Australia he found himself in addicted states with a slew of different substances, from LSD to speed to Valium. Mushrooms seemed to stand out as something different in the mix, and he eventually utilized them to help the underlying problem leading to his abusive behaviors.

Mark has been educating the Canadian public about all aspects of drugs for decades. He's now the chair of MAPS Canada, which is the Multi-Disciplinary Association of Psychedelic Substances. With them he is working to organize studies with MDMA and other psychedelic substances in therapeutic settings, mainly with people suffering from trauma.
We talk about this research, but also much more. From how to talk to youth about drugs, to the possible future of drug use after prohibition. Mark believes we should train and educate people in the safe use of whichever substance they are interested in before granting the right to use it. Also that we can regulate in ways that avoid the marketing and commercialization of these powerful drugs, as is the current case with cigarette's and alcohol.

We begin with Phil's past in residential schools and prisons, and get into many subjects including spirituality, ceremony, sweat lodges, drugs, healing, spirits, and fasting.
Phil's philosophy comes down to us all having our own guiding maps inside us, and that we too often look outside ourselves for the answers. He's a great storyteller and has a lot to say.

Marc is bringing legal ayahuasca to the USA. He's leading a group called Ayahuasca Healings which is part of the Native American Church. The church has already been using San Pedro cactus legally and now Marc and his group are doing the same with Ayahuasca.
We talk about a lot in this one, from the philosophy behind Marc's spiritual approach to how he sees his retreat helping regular people stuck in the machine of 9-5 work days. Marc believes we could all do with some time out of our heads and into our hearts. He hopes to expand legal ayahuasca to all over the USA, aiming for more than 30 locations in the years ahead.

Serge believes psychedelic drugs can help induce states of flow, which involve a heightened mind-body connection and the ability to react intelligently completely spontaneously. He also talks about experiencing a shared state of flow with sexual partners.
We go into much detail on both of these topics, and much more. From playing soccer to Conor McGregor and UFC fighting, as well as schizophrenia and living well. Serge points to tryptamines specifically as the psychedelics that can induce states of flow, and so we talk about psilocybin and DMT and the states of perception they offer.
