Mark has been educating the Canadian public about all aspects of drugs for decades. He's now the chair of MAPS Canada, which is the Multi-Disciplinary Association of Psychedelic Substances. With them he is working to organize studies with MDMA and other psychedelic substances in therapeutic settings, mainly with people suffering from trauma.
We talk about this research, but also much more. From how to talk to youth about drugs, to the possible future of drug use after prohibition. Mark believes we should train and educate people in the safe use of whichever substance they are interested in before granting the right to use it. Also that we can regulate in ways that avoid the marketing and commercialization of these powerful drugs, as is the current case with cigarette's and alcohol.

Andrew has worked as a psychiatrist for many decades. In the 1960's he apprenticed with renowned Scottish psychiatrist R.D. Laing where they used LSD in therapy settings. Andrew has continued his work in therapy, with and without psychedelic substances. In recent years he worked with MAPS Canada in a Vancouver study using MDMA in conjunction with psychotherapy to treat patients with severe PTSD.
We talk about how these substances are useful in therapy situations, and much more. Andrew is a goldmine of information for those interested in these topics, and a great storyteller to boot.

Trevor was the first person I ever interviewed for this podcast. We talk again about his Liberty Root Ibogaine therapy, and how it's changed in the last two years. Trevor is still working mainly with long term opiate addicts in the Vancouver area. The conversation is mostly about this work, but also healing in general, psychedelic states of mind, and helping people.
